Elegant Touch Review – Deco

Elegant Touch Review – Deco

I think that I heard about Elegant Touch false nails for the first time when watching Zoella. Around Christmas time I finally purchased a couple of different pairs. This week I have tried the second pair that I bought during that time. I bought the […]

Carrot, Cucumber, Celery, Apple, Lime and Chia seed Juice

Recently I bought some chia seeds, flax seeds and spirulina. I’ve been wanting to buy these for a while now and to use them in a juice and finally I had a chance. Immediately I found a juice recipe that sounded nice using the chia […]

'Urban Decay Naked' Palette Review

'Urban Decay Naked' Palette Review

I had wanted to buy the ‘Urban Decay Naked’ palette for a long time and kept putting it off, although last October I came to the decision that I would finally purchase it and I am so happy that I have. I have never really had the best quality makeup, although I didn’t used to wear much makeup either.

I purchased the first ‘Urban Decay Naked’ palette, as it had more neural colours within it.

This is  the packaging of the palette. As you can see, it includes an eyeshadow brush and 4 different eye primers.

IMGP7186 (640x310)

Here are the primers and the palette.

IMGP7198 (640x490)

It includes four eye primers, being ‘Original’, ‘Eden’, ‘Sin’ and ‘Anti-aging’.

The ‘Original’ eye primer works invisibly and keeps the colour in place on the eyelid. The ‘Eden’ eye primer is a nude matte formula which prepares the eyelid beforehand and prevents eyeshadow meltdown. ‘Sin’ is a shimmering formula which prevents fading and creasing. Lastly is ‘Anti-aging’, which does exactly what it says. As well as allowing the eyeshadow to last for longer, this primer also improves the appearance in fine lines and wrinkles as well as improving clarity and radiance and creates brighter skin.

IMGP7262 (640x92)

This is the eyeshadow brush that is included within the palette. I find that the larger brush is quite similar to my ‘Bare Minerals, Soft Focus’ brush, and I use it to apply eyeshadow to the whole of my lid, as well as blending. The thinner and smaller end of the brush is similar to my ‘Bare Minerals, Tapered’ brush, and is perfect for applying eyeshadow to the crease.

IMGP7249 (640x119)

Here are the colours included within the palette. There are two matte colours and the rest are shimmery. The one on the furthest left is a white with a slight shimmer in it and is called ‘Virgin’. Next to that is ‘Sin’, which is a chunkier shimmer. Then is the first matte colour, ‘Naked’, followed by another heavily shimmery colour, ‘Sidecar’. After ‘Sidecar’ is the last of the matte colours within this palette and is called Buck. The next colour, ‘Half Baked’, I usually wear with caution due to the high gold pigmentation and large amount of shimmer used within it. The next four are ‘Smog’, ‘Darkhorse’, ‘Toasted’ and ‘Hustle’, which are all brown, neutral colours. The last two are the darkest colour. ‘Creep’ is a dark black, and ‘Gunmetal’ is a grey.

My favourite colours are ‘Toasted’ and ‘Hustle’. I often use them together, and they are usually included within my daily makeup routine. I use ‘Toasted’ on the whole of my eyelids, and ‘Hustle’ on the crease.

In my opinion the ‘Urban Decay Naked’ palette is well worth purchasing and I have really enjoyed using it, although it is on the pricier side as it costs £38.

Origins 'GinZing' Mascara Review

Origins 'GinZing' Mascara Review

A while back I bought a mascara from Origins. I was absolutely loving it and how it was on my eyelashes. Although, I soon stopped using it after it became quite clumpy on the brush. I swapped to another mascara that I owned soon after […]
