Carrot, Cucumber, Celery, Apple, Lime and Chia seed Juice
Recently I bought some chia seeds, flax seeds and spirulina. I’ve been wanting to buy these for a while now and to use them in a juice and finally I had a chance. Immediately I found a juice recipe that sounded nice using the chia seeds so I tried it out and so I thought that I would share it with you all!
Above are all of the ingredients that you will need. This recipe requires 3 medium carrots, 1/2 cucumber, 2 stalks celery, 2 apples (I only had 1), 1 lime and 2 teaspoons of chia seeds. If I had some kale I may have also put a cup of that in.
The best thing about juicing is that it is so simple to make. With my juicer I just need to chop all of the ingredients into manageable sizes (although some juicers don’t even require you to chop any of the ingredients). So I chopped up the carrots, lime, celery, apple and cucumber. I put the 2 teaspoons of chia seeds in a ramekin and added 2 teaspoons of water, later resulting in the chia seeds adapting to a more solid but jelly consistency.
Simply I juiced them all (but added the chia seeds afterwards and blended them together) and was left with this as a result. I have to admit that it doesn’t look the most appealing but it tastes really good! It maybe could have done with some lemon or ginger to add an extra flavour, but this is such a yummy juice!
