Mixed Berry Smoothie Recipe
I LOVE both juices and smoothies, and since I got my juicer I haven’t stopped making them. The only time a problem would arise is when it called for me to use both a blender and the juicer. Me, being extremely lazy, never wanting to wash up all of that mess, especially since we have a big blender, led me to slack on making so many smoothies. So, for a while I had been looking into buying a Nutribullet, which had both positive and negative reviews. To my surprise, the day that I came home after finishing my exams, my mum gave me a Russell Hobbs Mix and Go Blender.
Already this blender has been used so much! It is absolutely amazing!! I have found that it seems to be quite similar to the Breville Blender, as you blend your smoothie straight into the bottle. This is great for me as it leaves minimal items to be washed up. It is also super simple to use, as you just pop all of the ingredients into the bottle, screw on the blades, and blend it, leaving you just having to swap the blades for the lid. To get it to blend you just have to match both of the arrows, and either hold down the bottle for a short blend, or twist it to the left for it to blend for a longer duration.
I would really recommend trying out this blender as it works amazingly, and is so cheap, some websites selling it for under £20, in comparison to the Nutribullet which costs £100 for the average, original style, with prices varying.
I’ve tried out so many different recipes for smoothies already in my new blender, and have a clear favourite, being my Mixed Berry Smoothie. So I thought that I would share this recipe with you!
Here are all of the ingredients needed for this amazing recipe;
You will need;
- 200ml milk
- 2 tbsp yoghurt
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 kiwi
- 2 tbsp oats
- 1 banana
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 2 tsp flax seeds
- Handful of summer fruits
It is so simple. All that I had to do was add all of the ingredients into my bottle. The one piece of advice I would give is, if you are using this blender I have found it best to add any frozen fruits last, as I had the problem previously of the frozen fruits sticking to the bottle and not blending properly, or as quickly.
And that is it! Once you have all of your ingredients it is the simple and easy matter of putting them all into the bottle and blending them. It is especially great with this blender as I am immediately able to drink it, only leaving me with the blades to wash up at this stage.
So I hope that you all like this recipe just as much as I do. Be sure to comment below on your experiences with this blender, and let me know your views on this recipe!
