Watercolour Card Craft

Watercolour Card Craft

I LOVE crafts, and since I have a lot more time on my hands at the moment, I am likely to post more DIYs on here now. I used to design and craft cards all of the time, but recently, mainly due to having less time, I stopped doing it so much. So, today I thought that I would show you how to craft a watercolour greetings card!

This is what you need:

Scissors, a card, watercolour palette, water, paintbrush, tape, a pencil, a pen (optional), and a stencil (mine is homemade).

Step 1: If you are using a shop bought stencil then skip this step, if not, you will need to draw or trace your word of choice (I used love), and cut it out.

Step 2: Tape the stencil to the card, and paint within using the watercolours. For the best effect dilute the watercolours quite a lot, and dab it onto the card, rather than a swiping motion.

Step 3: Remove the tape and stencil, and clean up the edges with a small amount of water on your paintbrush.

Step 4 (optional): I then chose to write on my card with a pen, to create the words ‘I Love You’. This is where you can personalise the card more, by adding some decorations, or writing as I did.

And that is it!!

This is such a quick, and simple craft, and is still so super cute! It can be personalised so easily, adding your own unique touch to it. Be sure to try out using different colours as well!

Let me know how you get on with making these adorable cards below!!
