Polymer Charm Tutorial- Corn

Polymer Charm Tutorial- Corn

I’ve been doing some more crafts at the moment, as I have some extra time on my hands, now that my exams have finished. I am hoping to do some more polymer charm tutorials as I love making clay charms!! Today I thought that I would show you how to make a really cute corn polymer charm, random I know!

You barely need anything to make this charm, which makes it so easy, quick, and still super cute!

IMGP7564 (640x412)

You will need;

  • yellow clay
  • orange clay
  • green clay
  • blade
  • rolling-pin

IMGP7566 (631x640)

You will need yellow clay for the inside of the corn, yellow/orange (1 part orange, 2 parts yellow) for the outside of the corn, and light green (1 part yellow, 2 parts green) for the leaves.

IMGP7567 (621x640)

Soften the clay for the outside of the corn, and blend in the colours. Roll it out into a thin ‘snake’ shaped tube.

IMGP7569 (640x426)

Shape the yellow clay into a rounded pyramid, and twist the yellow/orange-colored clay around the pyramid. Then lightly indent lines lengthways, to give the image of individual corn.

IMGP7571 (580x640)

Lastly soften and blend the green clay. Then roll it out thinly and cut it into tear drop shapes and put them onto the yellow corn.

And that is it!! All you need to do is pop in a headpin, so you can either pop it on a key ring, earring, necklace or bracelet. Put it in the oven according to the directions of the brand, I use fimo.

I hope you all enjoy making this super cute craft, and be sure to comment below on what other polymer charm tutorials you want me to make!!

XOXO
