3 DIY Gift Tags- BLOGMAS DAY 10

As much as I love to craft presents for Christmas, sometimes we just run out of time, or can’t seem to figure out how to complete the craft we’re attempting. Some ways to make your Christmas presents much more original and personal is by making your own gift tags. And this is why today I’m going to share with you, my ‘Top 3 Favourite DIY Gift Tags’ and how to make them, as they’re so cute, but also so quick and easy.

-Mitten Gift Tags

This is one of my favourite gift tags to craft.

All you need is:

  • Red felt
  • White felt
  • Green felt
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Step one- Cut out a mitten shape within the red felt. The size depends on what you would prefer, but mine was approximately two inches by three inches. Then cut out a rectangle of white felt to cover the mitten from the thumb down. Additionally, cut out three tiny circles within the red felt, and two very small leaf shapes.

Step two- Glue the white felt rectangle onto the bottom of the mitten.

Step three- Glue on all three red circles (berries) together on the white felt, and add the green leaves above the berries.

-Holly Gift Tag

This is a very quick and easy gift tag to make, but I think that it might just be my favourite. Also, this craft is very handy as it easily uses up scrap materials from around the house.

What you will need:

  • Blue felt
  • Green felt
  • Three red buttons
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Step one- Cut out a large rectangular shaped gift tag with the blue felt, and two large leaf shapes with the green felt.

Step two- Glue on the red buttons and then green leaves, so that it resembles holly.

-Santa Gift Tag

Again, this gift tag is just so adorable, and so quick and easy to make.

What you will need:

  • Red felt
  • Black felt
  • Foil
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Step one- Cut out a large rectangle from the red felt, a small black rectangle, two black circles and a square (with another square cut on inside) out of the foil.

Step two- Glue on the black rectangle, with the foil on top of that, in the middle, so that it resembles a belt. Then, to finish it off, glue the two circles above the belt.

So, I hope that these adorable ‘DIY Gift Tags’ have helped give you the inspiration this Christmas to make your presents a little more personal and ‘one of a kind’.

Let me know in the comments below what your favourite design is.
