Tealight Snowmen Craft -BLOGMAS DAY 15
Whilst I was still back at University I was itching to craft, but didn’t really have much around me to use, and didn’t want to go out spending money on supplies, but gathered up some random bits and bobs anyway, and ended up making these adorable little ‘Tealight Snowmen’, which make such an perfect addition to Christmas decorations. The other good thing about this craft is that it’s so easy it’s also brilliant for children.
What you need:
- Tealight (battery operated)
- Pom poms
I really like this craft because you can make each snowman unique, and therefore, what you actually decide to put on your tealight is completely your choice.
Although, in my case, for the snowman on the left, I began by using the Sharpie to draw on eyes and a mouth on the tealight. I then cut off a small part of the pipe cleaner and bent it to mould the shape of the tealight a lot better, glueing it to the top. Then to finish making some very cute earmuffs I glued a pom pom onto each end of the pipecleaner.
Other ways you could possibly decorate your snowman is by using some string or a ribbon to make a scarf, or by using some card to create a hat. You could even use googly eyes instead of the Sharpie. It’s completely up to you, and what you want your snowman to look like.
So I hope you enjoy making these very cute little snowmen, especially once they’re all finished and you can turn on the tealight, letting their little orange nose glow.
