Mini Meringue Kisses Recipe -BLOGMAS DAY 18
One of my favourite things to bake, other than cakes, are mini meringue kisses. They’re sooo easy to make, and definitely a massive hit!
- 150g granulated sugar
- 3 egg whites
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Food colouring
Step 1- Preheat oven to 110oC, and cover a baking tray with baking paper
Step 2- Whisk egg whites in a large bowl until it forms stiff peaks (For this I would highly recommend using an electrical whisk, as I don’t have one of these at university, and end up having to get my whole flat involved, helping me whisk, so it takes longer than normal)
Step 3- Whisk in half of the sugar
Step 4- Fold in the other half of the sugar, and the vanilla extract
Step 5- Put lines of food colouring within the piping bag, and fill it with the meringue mixture
Step 6- Pipe the mini meringue kisses onto the baking tray, and put it in the oven for 1 hour. Let the meringues cool slightly before attempting to remove them or else they could possibly break
I really love this recipe, but it does result in me eating an excessive amount of meringues, as they’re too good not to eat!!
Let me know if you try out the recipe, and what your thoughts are.
