It’s absolutely freezing cold and raining outside… so what do you end up doing instead? All plans have gone down the drain and now it seems like a waste of a day. But don’t go getting yourself worked up, there’s still plenty you can do today…
Film day – With it being winter time, make the most of the rubbish weather that we can get, and grab all of those munchies, get cosy under a blanket and watch as many movies as you can back to back.
Clean – Use it to your advantage and make the most of the rubbish weather outside, and being stuck indoors, and get on with cleaning your house.
Read – Many of us are so busy rushing around that we might not get much time to just sit down and read a book. So, now that you have time to do so, get stuck into a whole other world, and enjoy relaxing and reading.
Game night – Get the family together and have a family game day/night. It’s sure to cause many laughs, and a way to have fun with the whole family.
Pamper day – Take the chance to have a nice relaxing bath, use a face mask, paint your nails … have the complete works. Just have a chill day to yourself, or with others.
Go outside anyway – What’s a bit of cold stopping you from doing whatever you wish outside? Stick on a coat, gloves, hat and scarf and go get outside!
Have a lie in – Catch up on some sleep from how busy you may have been and snuggle back under your duvet.
Bake – Find a new recipe and try it out. It also gives you something perfect to munch on during those movies!
Colour – There’s so many beautiful adult colouring books now-a-days, so if you already have one in your possession have a relaxing day colouring in some gorgeous pictures.
Play video games – What’s better than an opportunity to have a gaming day. Especially if you have a console in your room, as you can just stay all warm and cosy in your duvet covers then!
We all get it; it’s Christmas time and someone gifts you a present that you really don’t like and know that you’ll never use. So, what do you do with it? I’m going to share with you all 5 things that you can do with those unwanted presents.
If it’s something you really don’t gravitate towards yourself, and can see yourself never using it, but don’t quite want to tell the person that gave it to you, then one way that you can still partially gain from this present giving is to sell your unwanted present. Someone out there is going to surely want it!
Make sure you keep note of who gave you the present to begin, just so that you don’t cause an embarrassing moment of re-gifting the present to the person who originally gave it to you. Although, it’s sure to save you the money for buying a present for someone down the long road, and it’s you know it’s a present that they’d like, then why not gift it to them?
If you were given the receipt in the first place, or feel confident enough to ask the person for one, then this is always an easy option to get rid of your unwanted present, and instead purchase one that you would much prefer.
Give it to charity
There’s sure to be someone who would love to receive your gift, by giving it away. This is the perfect way to give away your unwanted presents in a really christmassy way, without caring about the advantages for yourself, but instead just other people.
Hand into homeless shelters
Things such as food items, clothing, and blankets etc that are gifted to you during the festive season that you do not wish to keep yourself, are sure to be loved and gratefully received by those who are without a home. So this is a great idea to be more giving this festive season, and think about those who need these items.
These are the perfect christmassy cupcakes, using spices such as ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg. It’s definitely a really nice alternative to making gingerbread. Ingredients: Cakes: 150g light brown sugar 150g self raising flour 150g butter 3 eggs 1 tbsp milk 1/4 tsp nutmeg 2 tsp […]
So, I’ve already told you the Christmas traditions I had as a child, but instead, today, I’ll be sharing the Christmas tradition I wish that I had grown up with.
I always thought it would have been such a nice idea to have had new pajamas on the night of Christmas Eve as a child. I would imagine that putting out the reindeer food, and then sitting around the tree opening your new Christmas pajamas, helping set up the scene and really make you feel super duper festive.
I have made a gingerbread house a couple of times, but I do wish that we made on every year as a family. It would just be a lovely to get together as a family and bake. I also think if it goes right the end result can look so amazingly effective and beautiful!
I’ve always loved the idea of lighting up my house with a massive display, and having the most impressive one in the area, but at the same time, I wouldn’t be the one appreciating all of the lights if they’re on mine, as other people would be viewing them. So, instead, it both cheaper and easier to just go around and look at everyone else’s.
I think a lovely idea is to buy bits and pieces for those who are homeless, and spend an afternoon sat together with all of your family and friends and wrap them all up, then gifting them to people on the street, in homeless shelters, or in food banks etc.
It would always be so nice to sit down on your beds all together and look into your stockings and see what you received. Although, I do understand why they were never put on my bed, as it would be just my luck to wake up!
