‘Reputation’ Review

‘Reputation’ Review

We’ve already established that I’m a crazy Taylor Swift fan, so it was clear to everyone that my excitement for her release of Reputation just could not be contained. So, on Friday 10th November I woke up at a very early 4 o’clock in the […]

French Holiday – Avignon (Part 3)

French Holiday – Avignon (Part 3)

I know, I know. No surprise! Once again I’m showing you some of the pictures that I took whilst in Avignon, France. Today I’m going to show you the rest of the photos from the day that we went to Palais des Papes.

I’ve already showed you some of the pictures from the building, meaning that today will be all of the gardens.

The whole of the gardens of the Palace are full of statues;

statue 1 (622x800)

statue 2 (664x800)

There was even one within the Pond.

This pond was also home to many, many, very cute ducklings. Although, they were also very dopey, as they decided to climb out through the holes in the fence, just so that they could have a drink of water out of a little puddle.

I love this view of the city, from the back of the gardens;

One of my favourite views though, was the famous view of the bridge, Pont Saint-Bénézet, over the Rhône River;

bridge (800x507)

rhone river (800x600)

rhone river 1 (663x800)

rhone river castle (645x800)

rhone steps (702x800)

The bridge, Pont Saint-Bénézet, currently only has 4 of the arches remaining, as over time, from both attacks and floods caused upon Avignon, the other 18 arches kept collapsing, resulting in them by the end having to give up, allowing the arches to go into a state of disrepair.

This is one of my favourite areas within Avignon, and I would love to just go back there right now and sit watching the River all over again! It’s just so beautiful!!

XOXO

bareMinerals Duo Eyeshadow Review

bareMinerals Duo Eyeshadow Review

When it comes to makeup, bareMinerals is one of my go-to brands. I have so many of their products and LOVE using them!! Today i’m going to tell you about the bareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 2.0.

This is such a great product, and is perfect for those who don’t want a massive palette, and so is especially good for when you’re going on holiday. It is a duo eyeshadow. They have many different colours available, currently twenty on their website. The palettes range from having neutrals, greens, blues, to purples. There is such a range, that there’s enough to satisfy everyone. As well as having a wide range of colours, they also combine both shimmer and matt shades.

The palette that i’ ve got is ‘The Enlightenment’, and contains the shades ‘Guru’ and ‘Namaste’. Namaste is a matt, medium brown shade, and Guru is a beige colour with a slight shimmer.

bareMinerals say that their eyeshadow provides many benefits, including;

  • The reduction of fine lines, puffiness, and wrinkles
  • It boosts moisture levels in skin for smoother, more revitalised eyes

I agree with these comments made by bareMinerals from using the product myself. Although some of the reviews on their website state that the product does not last throughout the day, and ends up printing on the crease and upper eyelid, although I disagree, as this hasn’t happened to me.

The only negative in my opinion is the price of the eyeshadow. bareMinerals as a general rule is quite expensive. In this case the duo eyeshadow is £20. This may not be in everyone’s price range, although if you can afford this, then it is completely worth it! This is a wonderful eyeshadow, and the colours and beautiful, and so pigmented!!

Have you tried this eyeshadow out before? If so, let me know your experience below!

XOXO

BareMinerals Cream Eyeshadow 5-in-1 – Review

BareMinerals Cream Eyeshadow 5-in-1 – Review

IMGP7240 (640x173) (2)

I’m a massive fan of BareMinerals and have many of their products. For my past birthday my parents bought me some makeup products. One of these items included the BareMinerals 5-in-1 BB advanced performance cream eyeshadow with SPF 15.  This eyeshadow is so amazing. The consistency is perfect. It also carries many amazing qualities. It has 5 main qualities, being;

  • Long wear colour: The colour lasts up to 12 hours.
  • Primer: Can last throughout the day without creasing, fading or smudging.
  • Brighten: Reduces darkness and discolouration.
  • Smooth: Reduces wrinkles, forming a flawless skin tone and texture.
  • Protect: The SPF 15 sunscreen protects the eye from UVA and UVB rays, as well as antioxidants fighting against ageing.

IMGP7242 (640x401)

The size that I got was 3ml. On the BareMinerals website this size costs £17.00. I have it in the shade Barely Nude. It is a neutral/nude with a very slight shimmer within.

Honestly in my experience it does exactly as it says. It is the perfect creamy consistency, making it so easy to apply. This product is also great as you don’t need to use very much to achieve your look, a little goes a long way. I have only found one very minor problem with this product, which is that it dries extremely quickly, meaning that I have to make sure that I either reapply to areas not covered, or I have to apply and cover quickly. Although as said that is a very minor problem, and I would highly recommend this product as it is amazing!
